"So, what's your name?" asked Jacob,
"Alexandra..." She muttered, seeming to be holding something back.
"Something wrong?"
"Nah, it's just- never mind. You wanna go somewhere?"
"Well, OK."
They both walked down to the only place in town Jacob had never been to, the alley behind the school. The alley was dark, whose fault was the great oaks looming above. Mice scurried around as they snuck down the wet path, water sloshing around them as they took cautious steps. Suddenly there was a dampened humming noise around them. Jacob looked up and saw something he couldn't understand.
They were surrounded by strange men in black clothing covering their whole bodies but their eyes, which were entirely red.
"Do not pass... you have been warned..." was all the two could hear. It was all in muffled whispers coming from all directions, and then the people abruptly vanished.
"w-what was that!?" Alexandra shrieked, franticly glancing around, unaware of the strange glow in the distance.
"Hey!" Jacob blurted, pointing at the glowing orb just a few yards away from them "What is that!?"
As the two walked towards the glowing orb, they felt something pulling at them...
"Leave..."
"Not welcome..."
"No..."
"Do not passsss..."
The last sentence they heard had a strange hissing sound added to the end of it, and when they looked behind them, there was man watching them from the other end of the alley...
They ran. The man was catching up with them though. When the man got close, Alexandra was able to finally able to get a good look at him. The man was tall, and very slim and fast. His bloodthirsty eyes were entirely red, just like the shadowy men they had encountered earlier. They ran for the orb, wrenched through the cobwebs blocking their way by the strange, seemingly mystical pull of the supernatural ball of light. Right as they were about to seize the shining globe, they were grabbed by their feet and thrown behind the man. They looked up, and couldn't interpret what they saw.
Their mouths hung open as they watched the man jump at the glowing orb, and vanish.
"W-w-what was that!?" shrieked Alexandra, plastered to the brick wall in fear.
"I have no idea, Alexandra, but we need to follow him, now." Jacob confidently stated, already marching toward the orb.
"JACOB! STOP!" Alexandra shrieked, running toward him and seizing his arm, desperately trying to pull him back away from the now a horrifying bright red orb.
"You can't leave without me!"
"Well, let's go then!
"Wait a sec! I gotta' go get something!"
"Fine. Go get whatever it is, then come straight back, OK?"
"Right!" Alexandra happily exclaimed, running back to the metal tent behind a dumpster she lived in...
